WELCOME TO ‘COLOURING FOR MINDFUL LIVING’ PROGRAM

Before we dive straight in, let me ask you a few questions:

  1. How often do you prioritise yourself?
  2. When was the last time you sat down and had uninterrupted time to yourself?
  3. Do you get sick of the ‘chatter’ in your mind?
  4. Do you often struggle with stress or anxiety?

If you can’t quite remember the last time you had some quality time to yourself and you are caught up in the ‘busy bubble’, then maybe starting with a fun activity like colouring could break up this vicious cycle for you!

I’d like to invite you to join the colouring for mindful living series and rediscover your inner child.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

+ receive FOUR colouring sheets for FREE

+ be inspired via the affirmations and quotes and cultivate a healthy mindset

+ foster new healthy habits around your own time management and self care

+ have fun and learn to switch off

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE IDEA FOR THIS PROGRAM

I discovered mindfulness at the beginning of 2015 when I started practicing yoga. Meditation and mindfulness based classes made it easy for me to regularly engage into the practice and start fostering a new lifestyle.

Things started shifting for me since then – I’ve noticed an improvement in my overall well-being. I was able to reduce my stress levels significantly and listening to my body became a lot easier.

The biggest benefit however came over time when I noticed just how much healthier my mindset became. I’ve always been a positive person but I used to worry a lot. Cultivating a regular mindfulness practice and setting aside time for self care helped me foster a more creative life and I started taking more risks every day.

I wanted to create a program that was fun, easy and inspiring so anyone could join in.

A BIT MORE ABOUT MINDFULNESS

For any of you who are reading this right now and are unfamiliar with the concept of mindfulness, check out my previous article ‘How to practice mindfulness’.

One of my favourite definitions of mindfulness comes from the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California: “Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them – without believing, for instance, that there is a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune in to what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.”

THE SCIENCE BEHIND ADULT COLOURING BOOKS

Adult colouring books are very popular at the moment and that’s not a coincidence. It’s been scientifically proven that the activity of colouring helps individuals reduce stress and anxiety. It’s also often used to foster better focus and improve creativity.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM GOES WAY BEYOND THE ACT OF COLOURING

I created the colouring sheets to:

+ give you permission to set some time aside for YOU

+ have fun doing something that you loved as a child

+ give you space to notice your thoughts and the chatter they create in your mind

+ give you some simple affirmation to practice that could easily spark a new healthy habit

+ get to know yourself more

+ feel into your body more

+ strengthen your intuition and foster a healthy mindset

+ notice what comes up during colouring without judgment

+ reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm in your life

+ show you that colouring is a form of meditation

You will have access to 4 custom made and hand drawn mandala inspired colouring sheets.

When you finish, please share your masterpiece with us on Instagram by using the hashtag #mindfulcolouringseries. You can frame the art or pin it onto your mood board if you’d like.

FIRST THEME IS: YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH

We all have untapped potential. It lies within us awaiting our call. Its greatest enemy is often fear, or lack of confidence. The only thing preventing us reaching it… is us.

Patrick Lindsay

Many of us battle with the concept of not being good enough. This mindset can be paralysing. I go in depth about this topic in the launch video (bottom of this post) and also expand on this topic in one of my blog posts – read it here.

HOW CAN YOU JOIN THE PROGRAM?

Fill out your details in the form below and you will gain access to the program page immediately. I would recommend to self pace your progress – maybe over 4 consecutive weeks – but if you’ve got some time and you are super keen, you can also do them all at once. Anything goes 🙂

Hi Gill, I’m glad you liked the mandala and hopefully work has slowed down a little bit so you were able to relax and think about our first affirmation of the series: ‘you are more than enough’.
